General terms and conditions

Liability:
1.1 These terms and conditions apply to all treatments between "Studio Zeeuwse Rust" (hereinafter referred to as the practice) and the client.

Cancellations:

2.1 If you wish to cancel an appointment, you can do so free of charge up to 24 hours before the appointment. You can communicate a cancellation by phone or via email.

2.2 In case of cancellation of an appointment within 24 hours prior to the appointment, or if you do not attend an appointment, you will receive an invoice for the full amount for that appointment. This does not apply in the case of illness.

Customer Responsibility:

3.0 The customer has not used prohibited substances prior to the reiki and/or sound bowl session.

3.1 The customer is responsible for reporting medical conditions, allergies, injuries, or other health-related issues that may be important to the practitioner. Withholding relevant information could jeopardize your safety and also adversely affect the effectiveness of the Reiki treatment or sound bowl massage.

3.2 If the customer is under the care of a doctor, medical specialist, therapist, or other healthcare provider, he/she must inform the practitioner of this before the Reiki treatment or sound bowl massage. Reiki or Sound Bowl massage may potentially influence other ongoing treatments, and it is important for the practitioner to be aware of the client's situation.

3.3 If the client is using medication, he/she must inform the therapist about this prior to the sound bowl massage. Reiki or sound bowl massage may have an impact on other ongoing treatments, and it is important that the therapist is aware of the client's situation.

3.4 It is important to know that treatments with sound bowls are not suitable for certain people, including:

People with epilepsy: Sound bowl sessions may contain certain sounds and frequencies that could potentially cause undesirable reactions in people with epilepsy.
People with a pacemaker or ICD: Sound bowls can generate subtle electromagnetic fields, which may cause unwanted interactions with pacemakers or implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs).
People who are undergoing a treatment process for cancer: Sound bowl sessions should not be used as a primary treatment for cancer or as a substitute for medical treatments prescribed by qualified medical professionals.
Pregnant women in the first trimester of pregnancy: During the first three months of pregnancy, it is advisable not to undergo sound bowl treatments to prevent any unforeseen effects on the pregnancy.
People with (severe) mental disorders: A sound bowl session can be very relaxing, but it can also evoke deep emotional responses. For people with (severe) mental disorders such as acute psychosis or severe depression, listening to the sounds of sound bowls may be too intense and can cause emotional imbalance.

No replacement for medical treatments:

4.1 Alternative therapies such as Reiki & sound bowls are not a substitute for medical or psychiatric treatments. It is a complementary therapy focused on relaxation and promoting well-being. In cases of serious medical conditions or mental health issues, the client should seek professional medical advice from a recognized healthcare provider.

Consent and agreement:

5.1 By receiving a Reiki session and/or sound bowl session at my practice, the client declares that he/she has read, understood, and agrees with the contents of these general terms and conditions.

5.2 The practice reserves the right to change these general terms and conditions at any time. The client will be informed of any changes.Please read and respect these general terms and conditions carefully before booking a treatment at my practice.
